Design Goals
The homeowners wanted to rethink how their home functioned. The existing kitchen was converted into a dedicated baking kitchenette with ample storage, while part of the space became a custom bar. A neighboring room was opened to create a new everyday kitchen.
The goal was a calm, timeless space that felt warm and inviting. Natural stone countertops, refined materials, and a balanced palette achieved both beauty and everyday functionality.
Challenges
Enclosing the existing kitchen to create a kitchenette required careful planning around existing plumbing while maximizing storage for the client’s baking needs. Cabinetry was planned for specialized storage, making the space highly functional within the home’s existing layout. The new kitchen now opens to the living room, creating a seamless flow ideal for entertaining and family gatherings.
