Interior Design for Campbell Homes

Orchard-town roots, postwar streets, and plenty of room for a better layout.

Campbell grew from fruit orchards and canneries into a city after it incorporated in 1952, and much of its single-family housing dates from the 1950s through the 1970s. That means many ranch homes with good bones and dated kitchens. Our San Jose studio is minutes away, and Priyanka is at your home for every site visit.

Updating a postwar ranch

Tracts like Los Ranchitos Gardens, built in the late 1950s, share a familiar plan: living room in front, a closed kitchen, bedrooms down a single hall. In a full or major remodel, we rework that plan so the kitchen opens to where the family gathers, the hall bath works for the whole household, and light reaches the back of the house. Structural and approval questions stay with your contractor and architect.

Near downtown

The streets around Campbell Avenue hold some of the city's oldest houses, a few listed on its historic resource inventory, alongside newer condos and townhouses. For the older homes, we keep the details that give them character. For the newer ones, a whole-home design brings warmth and built-in storage to every room.

Getting started

1. Inquire. Describe your Campbell house and your goals, and we'll respond about a first conversation.

2. See the home, set the fee. Priyanka comes out to see the property; then a fixed design fee arrives in writing. Flat design fees are non-refundable.

3. Design through install. Every selection, purchase and trade on site is tracked by us until handover.

Your design investment scales with the project. A home designed top to bottom usually lands well past the six-figure mark, while a full remodel or new construction can climb into the millions. Our Bay Area cost guide explains the breakdown.
