Interior Design for Sunnyvale Homes

Whole-home design, new construction and complete remodels, carried from the first walk-through to move-in.

Homes with a long local history

We take full interior design projects in Sunnyvale, from full or major remodels to new builds and whole-home design. Our studio is in San Jose, a short drive away, and Priyanka visits every home in person. Every project begins with a look at how you actually use the house today.

Sunnyvale is where Joseph Eichler built his first homes in 1949, and about 1,100 of them still stand across 16 tracts, many now zoned single-story. Whatever your house's age, we start from what it already does well, its light, its flow and its connection to the yard, and design the changes around those strengths. If your home falls under the City's Eichler Design Guidelines, your architect confirms what's allowed.

Making more of a single level

Plenty of Sunnyvale homes are one story, and growing up isn't always an option. We look for space the plan is wasting: a long hallway, a closed-off kitchen, a garage doing more storing than parking. Reconnecting the kitchen and family room or building storage into the middle of the house can change daily life more than an addition would.

Kitchens and baths within a full remodel

As part of a full or major remodel, we plan cabinetry, lighting, tile and stone across the kitchen and baths together, so the whole house reads as one decision, not a collection of purchases. Details are on New Build | Remodel.

Furnishing the whole home

Once the remodel or build is complete, we furnish the house as one plan: furniture sized for every room, fabrics that hold up to sun, and layouts that keep paths clear. Through Signature Furnishing & Styling we source, order and place every piece.

Ways to work with us

How a project with us unfolds

1. Tell us about the house. Share its age, past changes and what frustrates you about it; promising projects move to a quick call.

2. Walk-through and proposal. Priyanka walks the house with you, and the proposal that follows names a single flat design fee. Flat design fees are non-refundable.

3. Design through install. Plans, finishes and purchasing, coordinated with your builder until move-in.

Expect a whole-home project to sit well into six figures, with full remodels and new builds sometimes reaching seven. For the factors behind those totals, read the Bay Area cost guide.

Here the homeowners turned their original kitchen into a baker's workspace with a bar, then claimed the room next door for cooking and gathering.
